Terms of Service
Last updated: May 25, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Innervu’s website at innervu.com and the Innervu WhatsApp onboarding experience (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, posting a job, sending us a WhatsApp message, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
You may use Innervu only if you are at least 18 years old, or 16+ with verifiable parental or guardian consent where local law permits. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. You must use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws, including the laws of Zimbabwe.
2. Accounts
Innervu supports three roles:
- Students who build a profile to be discovered by employers.
- Employers who post jobs, search candidates, and view documents.
- Marketers who refer students in exchange for a referral fee.
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when you sign up and keep it up to date. You may hold only one account per role per person. You are responsible for all activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in method (Google account or WhatsApp-verified phone) secure. Tell us at once if you suspect unauthorised use.
3. Employer payments
Employers purchase job postings and interview credits through EcoCash. Fees, credit bundles, and any applicable taxes are disclosed at checkout. Once a job is published or a credit is consumed (for example, when an employer triggers an interview offer), the associated fee is non-refundable. Unused credits remain on the company’s account subject to any expiry rules disclosed at the time of purchase. We may suspend or remove a posting that violates these Terms without refund.
4. Marketer payouts
Marketer commissions are paid to the EcoCash number on file, on the schedule disclosed in the marketer dashboard, and only for referrals that result in a verified hire under our then-current referral rules. Innervu may withhold or reverse payouts in the case of fraud, self-referrals, or other abuse. You are responsible for any taxes due on referral income.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to, and not to attempt to:
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-export student profiles, documents, or contact information.
- Redistribute, repost, print for circulation, or otherwise share with third parties any document, CV, transcript, or contact detail you accessed on Innervu. Every employer view of a student document is logged with the employer’s identity, IP, and timestamp.
- Impersonate another person, misrepresent your affiliation, or create accounts on behalf of others without authorisation.
- Post jobs that are fraudulent, discriminatory, illegal, or that solicit payment from applicants.
- Send spam, harass other users, or use the WhatsApp channel for purposes unrelated to the recruitment workflow Innervu provides.
- Probe, scan, or test the security of the Service; attempt to bypass authentication or access controls; or interfere with the Service’s operation.
6. Intellectual property
Students retain all rights in the documents and content they upload. By uploading content to Innervu, you grant Innervu a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display that content to verified employers matched with your profile, solely for the purpose of operating the Service. Innervu and its licensors retain all rights in the Service itself, including its software, design, brand, and the underlying matching logic.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Innervu is a platform that helps employers and students connect; Innervu does not employ students, does not guarantee that any job will be filled or any candidate hired, and does not verify on your behalf the accuracy of every profile, document, or job description. You are responsible for your own due diligence before entering into an employment relationship.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Innervu and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Innervu’s total cumulative liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Innervu in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 50.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account from within the app or by writing to privacy@innervu.com. Innervu may suspend or terminate your account, remove content, or restrict access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, breached applicable law, or engaged in fraud or abuse. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including IP, disclaimers, liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You and Innervu agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Harare, Zimbabwe, to resolve any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced to active users via WhatsApp or email. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
